Jewelry repair by mail
Not in Oklahoma City? Mail it to the bench.
Rings, chains, bracelets, earrings and heirloom pieces from anywhere in the United States. An estimate before you ship, a firm quote when it arrives, and nothing done until you approve it.
How it works
Four steps, door to door
The same bench, the same jeweler, and the same free estimate. Only the trip is different.
Tell us about the piece
Send a message with a photo, what needs fixing, and your ring size if it is a sizing job. We reply with an estimate and confirm we can do the work by mail. Please do not ship anything until you hear back.
Pack it and ship it insured
Put the piece in a small zip bag, then a padded box, with a note inside. Ship with tracking and insurance for the replacement value. USPS Priority Mail with insurance, UPS or FedEx with declared value all work. Do not write jewelry on the outside of the box.
We inspect it and send a firm quote
We text or email you within one business day of arrival with photos and the exact price. Nothing is done until you approve it. If you decide against the repair, we ship it straight back for the cost of return shipping.
Approve, pay, and it comes home
Once you approve, the work goes on the bench. We send an invoice by text or email, and the piece ships back insured with a signature required as soon as it is paid.
Estimate first
You know the likely price before anything ships.
Firm quote on arrival
Photos and an exact price before any work begins.
One bench
The jeweler who quotes it is the one who fixes it.
Insured both ways
Tracked, insured, signature required coming home.
Put this note in the box
- Your name, phone number and email
- The return address to ship to
- What you want done, in your own words
- For sizing, the finger size you need (a jeweler near you can measure it)
- Anything else in the box, such as loose stones or an old clasp
Packing it safely
- Seal the piece in a small zip bag so nothing shakes loose
- Use a rigid padded box, not a paper envelope
- Insure for the replacement value and keep the tracking number
- Do not write jewelry, gold or diamond anywhere on the package
- Take a photo of the piece before you seal the box

Common questions
Mail-in repair questions
Do you really take repairs by mail?
Yes, from anywhere in the United States. Most of our work walks in the door, but rings, chains, bracelets, earrings and heirloom pieces travel well and the repair is the same either way. Send a message with a photo first so we can confirm the job and give you an estimate before you ship.
How should I ship it?
Seal the piece in a small zip bag inside a rigid padded box, with a note giving your name, phone, email, return address and what you want done. Ship with tracking and insurance for the replacement value. USPS Priority Mail with insurance, UPS or FedEx with declared value all work well. Do not write jewelry on the outside of the package.
What happens when it arrives?
We open it, check it against your note, and text or email you within one business day with photos and a firm quote. Nothing goes on the bench until you say yes. If you decide against the repair, we send it straight back for the cost of return shipping.
How long does it take?
Once you approve the quote, most mail-in repairs are back in the mail within 5 business days of your approval. Add transit time each way, so plan on about two weeks door to door for a typical repair.
What does return shipping cost?
Return shipping is insured with a signature required, added to your invoice at cost, usually $15 to $35 in the United States. It appears as its own line on the invoice, and we send the tracking number the moment it leaves.
How do I pay?
After you approve the quote we send an invoice by text or email. It takes any card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and Afterpay on larger jobs. The piece ships home as soon as the invoice is paid.
Is there anything you will not take by mail?
Watches and watch batteries (a retired service); Pieces we have not seen a photo of first; Loose stones without the piece they belong to, unless we have agreed in advance; Packages from outside the United States. For a piece worth more than $5,000, call us first and we will arrange the shipping with you.
Send us a photo to get started.
