Starting prices
Professional ultrasonic cleaning, steam, and hand polishing to bring back the shine.
Starting prices - the exact quote depends on your piece. Bring it by for a free estimate, no obligation.
What affects the price?
Basic cleaning and hand polishing is quick and affordable. Rhodium plating, the bright white finish on white gold, costs more because your piece is polished, deep-cleaned, and re-plated. Deep scratches take longer to polish out than everyday dullness.
Common questions
Jewelry cleaning questions
Do you clean jewelry for free?
Yes. We clean and check jewelry free of charge, whether or not you bought it from us. Bring it by during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:30 to 5:30, and you are welcome to wait while we do it.
How is professional cleaning different from cleaning at home?
Home cleaning removes surface film. We use ultrasonic and steam equipment that lifts the compacted dirt from underneath the stones and inside the setting, which is where most of the dullness actually comes from. While your piece is with us we also check the prongs and settings under magnification, so you find out about a loose stone before you lose it.
What is the best way to clean a diamond ring at home?
Warm water, a drop of dish soap, and a soft toothbrush around the back of the setting where oils build up. Avoid toothpaste, bleach, and abrasive cleaners, which scratch metal and can damage softer stones. Bring it to us a couple of times a year for a proper clean and a prong check.
Can all jewelry be ultrasonically cleaned?
Most can, but not everything. Emeralds, opals, pearls, turquoise, and any stone that has been treated or filled can be damaged by ultrasonic cleaning. We identify what you have before choosing a method, and clean the delicate pieces by hand instead.
Ready for that just-bought sparkle?
Stop in any time during business hours. We’d love to make your jewelry shine.
