Our story
A family at the bench since 1982
Three generations of craftsmanship in one Oklahoma City family, and a belief that great jewelry begins with great communication.
Master Jeweler and co-owner Roberto Sanchez Sr. began his career in 1982. By chance, his landlord kept a small jewelry shop in his garage. After long days at a meat factory, Mr. Sanchez would visit Señor Miranda to learn stone setting, ring sizing, and custom design. After two years he earned a full-time position at Bartolo’s Jewelry Repair, where he spent twelve years mastering attention to detail, quality of craftsmanship, and superior customer service.
In 1995, Roberto opened his own store, Sanchez Jewelry Repair, in south Oklahoma City. Every day after school, his son Robert Sanchez Jr. headed over to learn the trade. Robert went on to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration, determined to expand the family business.
In September 2014, father and son realized their goal and opened Journey Jewelers. Our mission is simple: provide jewelry designed to last through all of life’s journeys, using the best quality gemstones and precious metals, all at affordable prices. Our jewelers are on site and available to talk with every guest. That’s also how we repair most pieces within hours, not weeks.
We’d be honored to help you create the jewelry you’ll use to commemorate your next milestone in life.
