A customer’s story

From inherited rings to a wedding set

Our guest treasured her family’s jewelry, but the rings stayed in a jewelry box. Together, we imagined a wedding set that would fit her style and carry those memories forward.

The inherited rings and stones brought in for a redesign

01 · The starting point

Jewelry with a history

She brought her inherited rings to Journey Jewelers to repurpose their gold and diamonds. Robert, our jewelry guide, talked with her about what she liked, what she wanted to change, and how she wanted the new set to feel.

Your starting point can be a family piece, saved inspiration, or simply an idea. We love hearing the stories behind generational jewelry.

02 · Shape the idea

See the design come together

Once she loved the idea, our CAD technician created a digital model. This behind-the-scenes view shows how the rings would fit together, giving her a chance to refine the design before it was made.

Digital renderings let you explore rose, yellow, or white gold, along with diamonds or colored stones.

Digital rendering of the customer’s three-ring wedding set

03 · Make it yours

A three-ring design she loved

Our guest chose three rings instead of five. The rendering helped her picture the finished set and make adjustments before 3D printing.

You can also visit to see the wax model before your design is cast in gold, silver, or platinum.

Plan your redesign

Bring your pieces. Bring your questions.

Save the designs you love from Pinterest, Instagram, or anywhere else. We can often combine elements from two or three ideas into something personal.

Our family started on the repair side of the jewelry business. We want you to feel comfortable, ask questions, and choose a piece you’ll enjoy passing down.

What does a redesign cost?

Custom design starts at $700. The price depends on your design and the gold and stones you already have. We can supply additional materials, or credit yellow gold toward a design in white gold.

How do the CAD fee and payments work?

The CAD fee is $199, paid before design begins. If you decide to stop after the CAD design, you pay only that fee.

If you love the design and want to proceed, the next step is a 50% nonrefundable deposit. This covers the labor invested in making your piece. Pay in the store or through an invoice sent by text or email. The remaining balance is due at pickup.

Can I preview my design?

Yes. We use digital renderings to review the design together, including metal colors and stones. Minor changes can be made before 3D printing, and you can visit to see the wax model before casting.

How long does it take?

Plan on 4–6 weeks from start to finish. Most designs are completed in about 30 days. Talk with us about your ideas and any date you have in mind.
